NUWANI IRIZARRY is an Associate Attorney with the law firm of Hansen & Cleary, LLC.

Ms. Irizarry worked in elementary and special education, as well as school administration in Mississippi from 2016-2021. She then attended law school at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where she graduated in 2024. There, she was a Student Attorney with the Juvenile Law Clinic, competed and helped coach Mock Trial, and wrote on the Tulane Journal of Law & Sexuality. While in law school, she also served as a law clerk at Innocence Project New Orleans and the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights.

Before attending law school, Ms. Irizary received her Master of Science in Educational Studies from John Hopkins University School of Education in 2021, where she earned dual certification in School Administration & Supervision, as well as Education of Students with Autism & Other Pervasive Developmental Disorders. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in 2016.
